Mezze

It's a lovely restaurant located behind Victoria Station along the Sprint Highway. Well the food was quite delicious. Except I didn't like the appetizer which was the Pork Rillette and Costillas. It was rather dry and hard to chew. However, mom's chicken was quite the catch. I love the way they marinated it. Yum!

Tenderlion - beef served with wedges, red wine sauce and white cream sauce.


Mezze House salad

pasta Con Formaggio and Pungi - Angle hair with mushroom and a bit of chess. It tasted like Aglio Olio

Spatchcock Chichken - Well marinated and delicious with a bite. It'll leave you wanting for more



Dessert, Panna Cota - Vanilla ice-cream with hazelnut syrup. It's a to die for.

Tang Yuan


Or as 21 december 2010 Startwo calles it Green Tea Dumpling with black sesame.

ingredients:
90g glutinous rice flour
80g water
10g shortening
1/2tsp green tea powder

Filling:
30g black sesame paste
15g castor sugar
10g butter
1/8-1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp cold water
tea soup:
600ml water
35g sugar
2 sachets green tea



To prepare filling:
Combine black sesame paste, sugar, btter, salt and water in a small bowl. Mix until holds together. Take a tiny portion and press well together to form a very tiny ball. Leave aside the balls of filling.



Instructions:
1)Place glutinous rice flour, tapioca flour and green tea powder in a mixing bowl. add shortening and make a well in the centre. Gradually add water and mix into a soft and pliable dough.

2)Divide dough into equal portions and set aside covered with a peice of clingfilm.

3)Take a portion of green tead dough and make a small dent in the centre. Add a ball of black sesame seeds filling. Wrap up neatly and roll into a round ball od tang yuan.

4)Bring a pot of water to the bowl. Drop the balls of tang yuan into the water and bring to a boil. When the dough balls float, remoce them with a slotted spoon.

5)Put them into a basin of cold water. Allow to steep in the cold water while preparing the tea soup. (Note, do not keep it too long in the cold water as it would be ineadible.)


To make the tea soup:


1)Boil water and sugar in a small saucepot. Once the sugar dissolves drop in the sachets of green tea. Allow to steep for two minutes.


2)Discard the tea bags and drop the balls of cooked tang yuan into the syrup.
